NOHA Spring School in Humanitarian Action 2016 / Budapest

Humanitarian Action today has to take into account political, cultural, legal and health dimensions. One more time, the NOHA Spring School will be conducted by university staff and field actors in order to provide professionals with a global approach.

The Spring School aims at training professionals dealing with projects in Humanitarian Action (HA) in order to give them a critical overview of HA in a multidisciplinary perspective with a focus on the main principles, actors, tools. New challenges in HA will also be examined.

The NOHA Spring School in Humanitarian Action became a part of the network's short-term courses programme and is annually organised by Vilnius University in partnership with another European university.

This year, the Spring School will take place in Budapest, Hungary during 9-13 May 2016, and is co-organised by Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). The teaching will be conducted by faculty from the network's universities and field actors, in order to provide professionals with a global approach and specific tools.

Target audience includes civil servants, staff from local, international and civil society organisations, and more generally those who are involved in HA and feel the need to upgrade their basic knowledge and skills. In order to reach the maximum effectiveness the number of participants will be limited to 20.
