Consortium for Civilian Safety and Security Trainings

These trainings will take place around the world across 2026 and focus on the topics covered by consortium in the first phase of this project, namely: 

- Protection of Civilians
- Community-Based Safety and Security Analysis and Planning
- Protection by Presence
- Negotiations for Protection
- Humanitarian Mediation
- Armed Actor Engagement
- Early Warning and Early Response

These types of interventions are practical interventions that humanitarians can undertake to better protect civilians from protection threats they face, instead of responding to the consequences of violence in humanitarian settings, as outlined through the research undertaken under Phase I.
 

Through Phase I and II, over 180 humanitarian practitioners, academicsm, and students have taken part in the trainings, with most trainings being rated very highly (overall more than 9.0/10).
